boekomslag

The book 'Real projects for real people, volume 1' is now available. The authors take us on a rich journey of practice lead research and development that is grouped around four projects that were developed in The Patching Zone’s first two years (2008-2010). It highlights the theory and research approach that were applied; the outcomes are illustrated by the team members’ contributions through photo-essays, papers, design sketches and interviews with the stakeholders.

On November 19th, The Big South Lab project will organize a final event to finish the project, that has been running for the past year. The final event will be held at The Creative Factory in Rotterdam, Maashaven Zuid Zijde 2

The theme of the even is: Make - Play - Show. All workshops given by the team prior to the final event will share this thematic link. During the event, the visitors will not only be actively involved (make-play) with all activities, but they will also be presented with the outcome of several workshops (show).

Creative research event from 17.30 to 22.30 at 't Gemaal' (Pretorialaan 141, Rotterdam), hosted by TENT.
At this event, the new book 'Real projects for real people, Volume 1' about The Patching Zone was released.

September 12th 2010: Big South Lab gave a workshop at the 'Op-z'n-Kopfestival'. Together with the participants, our team made musical instruments from everyday utensils.
